Hello Bush Families, Students, Staff and Community,

We are ready for the 2024 – 2025 school year! Our theme this year matches Alief’s:

“Setting the Stage for Success”

My goal for this year, and every year afterwards, is to ensure that our students grow in all areas. I want them to have a love for reading and a curiosity for math that lasts their entire lifetime. With this love for learning, they will be encouraged to come to school and do their best every day. In turn, they will all grow academically and socially and will change the world for the better.

As always, I believe everyone in our students’ lives are an essential part of their achievements. The work we do together will have a positive impact on them and their future aspirations. In order to prepare them for success, it is important that our students get a good start every morning. Make sure they get a good night’s rest, come to school on time for breakfast, and complete homework assigned by their teachers. While in school, we will provide a safe learning environment that they will be excited to share with you when they get home. I look forward to working with all of you to ensure a successful future for our students.

A little about me: I began my career in Alief ISD as a teacher, moved to Washington due to the Army, where I obtained my Principal certification and came back home to Alief in 2020. I have served as an Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, Team Leader, interventionist and teacher over the past seventeen years. I will continue to use my experience to uphold Alief’s vision and continue to work on Bush’s mission to promote a positive environment to create life-long learners. Some of my life-long learners include my two children, who are ten and seven. They keep me really busy! My husband is also an educator and coach.

I hope you have learned a little about me and I am sure we will get to know more about each other over the years. I am elated to work alongside all school community members to ensure the success of everyone that walks through our doors. We will make Bush a home away from home, while increasing academics and emotional intelligence. Let’s make this year our best year!

¡Estamos listos para el año escolar 2024 – 2025! Nuestro tema este año coincide con el de Alief:

“Preparando el escenario para el éxito”

Mi objetivo para este año, y todos los años posteriores, es asegurar que nuestros estudiantes crezcan en todas las áreas. Quiero que tengan un amor por la lectura y una curiosidad por las matemáticas que dure toda su vida. Con este amor por aprender, se animarán a venir a la escuela y dar lo mejor de ellos cada día. A la misma vez, todos crecerán académicamente y socialmente y cambiarán el mundo para hacerlo mejor.

Como siempre, creo que todos en la vida de nuestros estudiantes son una parte esencial de sus logros. El trabajo que haremos juntos tendrá un impacto positivo en ellos y en sus aspiraciones futuras. Para prepararlos para el éxito, es importante que nuestros estudiantes comiencen bien cada mañana. Asegúrese de que descansen bien por la noche, lleguen a la escuela a tiempo para desayunar y completen las tareas asignadas por sus maestros. Mientras estén en la escuela, les brindaremos un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro que estarán felices de compartir con usted cuando lleguen a casa. Espero trabajar con todos ustedes para garantizar un futuro exitoso para nuestros estudiantes.

Un poco sobre mí: comencé mi carrera en Alief ISD como maestra, me mudé a Washington debido al ejército, donde obtuve mi certificación de directora y regresé a casa en Alief en 2020. Me desempeñé como subdirectora y decana de estudiantes, líder de equipo, intervencionista y docente durante los últimos diecisiete años. Continuaré utilizando mi experiencia para defender la visión de Alief y continuaré trabajando en la misión de Bush de promover un ambiente positivo para crear estudiantes de por vida. Algunos de mis alumnos de por vida incluyen a mis dos hijos, que tienen diez y siete años. ¡Me mantienen muy ocupado! Mi marido también es educador y entrenador.

Espero que hayan aprendido un poco sobre mí y estoy segura de que nos conoceremos más con el paso de los años. Estoy encantada de trabajar junto a todos los miembros de la comunidad escolar para garantizar el éxito de todos los que cruzan nuestras puertas. Haremos de Bush un hogar lejos del hogar, mientras aumentemos el nivel académico y la inteligencia emocional. ¡Hagamos de este año nuestro mejor año!
