Hello Bush Families, Students, Staff and Community,
We are ready for the 2023 – 2024 school year! Our theme this year is: “One Team, One Goal”
My goal for this year, and every year afterwards, is to ensure that our students grow in all areas. I want them to have a love for reading and a curiosity for math that lasts their entire lifetime. With this love for learning, they will be encouraged to come to school and do their best every day. In turn, they will all grow academically and socially and will change the world for the better.
As always, I believe everyone in our students’ lives are an essential part of their achievements. The work we do together will have a positive impact on them and their future aspirations. In order to prepare them for success, it is important that our students get a good start every morning. Make sure they get a good night’s rest, come to school on time for breakfast, and complete homework assigned by their teachers. While in school, we will provide a safe learning environment that they will be excited to share with you when they get home. I look forward to working with all of you to ensure a successful future for our students.
A little about me: I began my career in Alief ISD as a teacher, moved to Washington due to the Army, where I obtained my Principal certification and came back home to Alief in 2020. I have served as an Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, Team Leader, interventionist and teacher over the past sixteen years. I will continue to use my experience to uphold Alief’s vision and continue to work on Bush’s mission to promote a positive environment to create life-long learners. Some of my life-long learners include my two children, who are nine and six. They keep me really busy! My husband is also an educator and coach.
I hope you have learned a little about me and I am sure we will get to know more about each other over the years. I am elated to work alongside all school community members to ensure the success of everyone that walks through our doors. We will make Bush a home away from home, while increasing academics and emotional intelligence. Let’s make this year our best year!
